The mesh and a coating of cement lend strength and durability to the wall. After the cement has dried then the stucco application can begin.
Foam panelling is being installed on all surfaces. The foam will provide insulation to the building, and the substrate for the upcoming stucco application. Electrical boxes are also visible. These boxes will be enclosed in the forthcoming pillars.
Since the west wall of the old Snake Pit will be the backdrop of the new community greenspace it is necessary to beautify the wall. The finished wall will include lighting, columns, and space for art and greenery. The storefront will also be rejuvenated. We are excited to be working with J.S. Kelba Construction on this project. Part of this work will be funded by a Facade Improvement Grant from the City of Port Colborne.
